Douglas Oliveira, 49 anos é o personagem da vez. Morador de Carapicuíba, ele trabalha na RENOVA ECOPEÇAS, empresa do grupo Porto Seguro, uma das parceiras do Instituto Recomeçar que abre vagas de trabalho para ex-detentos e detentas.
Douglas conta que o crime entrou na sua mente ainda na adolescência para o desespero e decepção da família.
Fã do perigo e da vida errante, ele atravessou boa parte da vida no cárcere com marcas muito fortes como a passagem pelo presídio de Bangu, no estado do Rio de Janeiro, onde cumpriu três anos em regime fechado.
Douglas afirma que sua vida mudou quando viu um cartaz do Instituto Recomeçar fixado no mural de avisos da estação de trem.
Ele estava indo para mais uma das muitas entrevistas de emprego que era chamado e dispensado após checagem no atestado de antecedentes criminais.
O anúncio da estação convocava ex-presidiários para um ciclo desenvolvimento psicossocial na Faculdade Anhanguera (filial Belém) e, possível encaminhamento para vagas de emprego.
