Colocar um ponto final na vida errante e seguir um novo caminho, não é só uma questão de vontade para o indivíduo que se encontra livre do cárcere.

O Recomeçar é o ponto de partida para muitas pessoas, como veterano Osmar da Silva Fiotikoski.

Preso por assalto durante a Ditadura Militar, em 1972, Fiotikoski ficou detido por 32 anos: 10 a mais do que a pena previa. Mesmo assim, superou as dificuldades.

“Não teria motivo nenhum para ajudar ninguém. Eu era para ser um cara muito ruim, mas que vantagem levaria. Então vou fazer coisas boas”, diz.

Há cinco anos, Fiotikoski trabalha no Recomeçar ajudando na metodologia e manutenção do projeto. Uma de suas ações é acompanhar ex-detentos que conquistaram uma vaga de trabalho.

“Eu foco nas pessoas que estão nas empresas, para não tomarem atitude isolada, para não fecharem as portas que conseguimos abrir, que foi muito difícil.”

O projeto prepara os egressos do sistema prisional para o mercado de trabalho e, depois, acompanha a rotina do novo funcionário, nesse novo caminho.

No Instituto Recomeçar nosso propósito é dar amparo social, moral, emocional, educacional e profissional para que pessoas desacreditadas se empoderem para reescrever uma nova história a partir de novas escolhas.
